Bengalis will like Hilsa fish no matter what they like.
Since childhood, my mother used to make this at home in some special hospitality and I used to eat it with surprise and fun.
So let’s take a look at the Hilsa fish kebab recipe.
Hilsa Fish Kebab
Ingredients:
▪️1. Hilsa fish 1 medium
▪️2 Boiled potatoes 1 cup
▪️3. One and a half cups of onion
▪️4. 7-8 green chillies
▪️5. Ginger paste 1 tsp
▪️6. Garlic paste 1 tsp
▪️7. Half a teaspoon of pepper powder
▪️8. Chilli powder 1 tsp
▪️9. Tomato sauce 3 tbsp
▪️10. 1 egg
▪️11. Salt to taste
▪️12. Oil quantity
▪️13. Cucumber, tomato and carrot for serving.
Instructions:
▪️1. First, remove the head and tail of the hilsa fish and cut it into pieces. Then boil the fish with ginger-garlic paste and salt and drain the water.
▪️2. Now choose the cut of fish carefully. Then mix all ingredients except onion and oil with fish and knead well
▪️3 Now cover the fish and masala mixture for 1 hour. On the other hand, fry the tail and head with a little turmeric, pepper and salt.
▪️4 Now heat oil in a pan and fry onions until brown. Then shape the fish kebab. Then deep fry the fish kebabs in oil.
5 While frying the kebab, turn it upside down and fry it brown. Once the kebabs are fried, serve with onions, green chillies, cucumber and tomatoes.
