Chilli Fish Recipe is an Indo-Chinese cuisine. We usually go to the restaurant and order this dish. At home in a short time, this dish can be easily made to taste like a restaurant. I did it with vetki fish. It will also be done with other fish such as house fish. But, of course, do it with fish without cutting it. Let’s tell the recipe now.
Ingredients:
Vetki fish fillet – 300 grams (also cut into small pieces)
For the marination:
Chilli powder-1 tbsp
Juice of half a lemon/one spoon of vinegar
Soya sauce-1 tbsp
Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Raw chilli paste – 1 tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder -1 tbsp
Flour – 2 tbsp
Cornflakes – 1 tbsp
Egg white – 1 egg
Salt – 1 tsp
I will prepare a mixture of sauce…. 👇
Dark Soya Sauce – 2 tsp / Light Soya Sauce if not available
Tomato ketchup – 4 tbsp
Red Chilli Sauce – 2 Tablespoon / If not Green Chilli Sauce can be used.
Vinegar-1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Water – little also feels
Onion – 3 medium size
7-8 cloves of garlic
Onion leaves – I took both green and white.
Capsicum / bell paper – I cut red, yellow, green in half, you can use any one, if you have three, give it.
Sugar-1 tsp
Cornflower-1 tbsp
For frying fish pakoras
Refined oil – 1/2 cup
Method:
First Marination:
The pieces of fish were first marinated with pepper powder, lemon juice, Kashmiri chili powder, raw chili paste, ginger paste, garlic paste and kept for 20 minutes.
Second marination:
After 20 minutes, I spread it with cornflour, flour, salt and egg white.
I have cut capsicum, bell paper into squares. Cut the onions into quarters and remove the leaves. Chop the garlic. Chop the onion leaves and chop the white part of the onion leaves separately.
Take everything kept for the sauce in a small bowl and mix it with a little water.
Everything is ready now I will start cooking
Heat the oil well in a pan and fry the pakoras on medium heat. Fry both sides until red. Frying these fish pakoras does not take much time.
Put another pan flame on and add two tablespoons of oil from the oil for frying the pakoras.
When the oil is hot, lightly fry the garlic and then add the white part of the onion. After that I gave capsicum and bell pepper by shaking it with the onion leaves. Remember to start cooking on high flame. If not, the crunchy feeling of the vegetable will go away, it will not taste good.
Then I gave the sauce mixture. I washed the bowl with little water. Stir it a little on high flame. Dissolve a spoon of cornflour in a little water in a small bowl and add sugar.
Once it boils, the fish pakoras are coated well with the sauce. Chilli fish recipe is ready . Top with green part of onion leaves and turn off the gas flame and serve with fried rice, naan,bread.
