Introduction:
Mejbani beef roast also known as Mezbani Mangsho, is a rich and flavorful dish that is a staple of Chittagong cuisine in Bangladesh. It is traditionally served during Mejbani feasts, which are large social gatherings held to celebrate special occasions.
The dish is made with tender pieces of beef that are marinated in a blend of aromatic spices and then slow-cooked until they are incredibly tender and infused with flavor. The gravy is thick and rich, with a deep red color from the use of chili powder and other spices.

Ingredients:
▪️1. 2 kg of beef.
▪️2. 2 tbsp chili powder.
▪️3. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.
▪️4. 1 cup chopped onion.
▪️5. 1 tablespoon of ginger paste.
▪️6. 1 tablespoon garlic paste.
▪️7. 4 tablespoons of onion batter.
▪️8. 1/2 cup mustard oil.
▪️9. 1/2 cup soybean oil.
▪️10. 2 tbsp Mejbani masala.
▪️11. 2 tablespoons of tomato paste.
▪️12. 2 tablespoons of almond batter.
▪️13. 1 tablespoon of coconut batter.
▪️14. 2 bay leaves
▪️15. 5-6 green chillies.
▪️16. Salt to taste.
Instructions:
▪️1. Wash the meat well and drain the water. To marinate the meat, rub the whole meat well with onion paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt and 1 tablespoon of mustard oil.
▪️2. Meanwhile, heat the kadai and heat the mustard and soybean oil in it and fry the onion slices lightly. Turmeric-chili powder should be added to it and a little water should be added. After stirring the spices, grind it again with almond paste, coconut paste.
▪️3. Grind again with meat marinated in ground spices. Now add host spices to the meat.
▪️4. Keep the heat of the oven low and cook the meat. No need to add extra water. Meat will be marinated in meat water.
▪️5. The aroma will come out when the meat is cut. Now cook it with little water until the meat is completely cooked. Care should be taken that the meat does not stick to the pan.
▪️6. When the meat is cooked and the oil floats, cover the pan with a small amount of Mejbani masala and black pepper and leave it for five minutes.
